Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman in business. She is the owner and president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and grew up as an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who was later a part owner of the Lakers as well as other sports companies. Her parents divorced in 1972. separated in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally abandoned. At the age 19 she became the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. Later, she established an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming Vice president for the Lakers. Buss as well as her five sisters inherited his Lakers majority ownership following the death of Buss' father in 2013. Each of the sisters had an equal voice. Her duties were assumed as the president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion that is based in Los Angeles.
