The actress, once a cover girl for Vogue magazine, is now living in Beverly Hills along with Samantha and Olivia. The couple was married only eight years, but divorced for twenty years. Ann Turkel is still struggling in a state of denial over her divorce from husband, Richard Harris. Her family was the Jewish middle-class household and grew up in Manhattan, Turkel had, by age 16, studied at the same time with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as Philip Burton at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Ann's participation with her group as part of a fashion-themed event was the moment Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. Within less than a week the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot the very first Vogue Cover with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was one of the most sought-after models in the United States, appearing on cover models for leading fashion magazines such as Vogue Bazaar or Cosmopolitan. Ann modeled successfully for cosmetic companies such as Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe within two years.
